Traditional Chinese Music, Song From Shandong:Erhu(二胡):Lei Qiang

This song, Song From Shandong, is from the CD – Chinese Traditional Erhu Music Vol. 2. I recommend this CD to anyone interested in traditional Erhu. The Erhu player is the very well known and highly regarded Lei Qiang. For those people not familiar with the Erhu, this CD is a great introduction to the Chinese musical instrument. It is one of the most, if not the most, expressive of musical instruments. Often sounding “willowy” and/or mystical, it is often referred to as the Chinese violin. It is a two stringed bow instrument with sound qualities similar to the cello. The Erhu is the heart of Traditional Chinese music. I do not own the content of this video.
